This is a big day for me:
my first article on www.suite101 (http://european-culinary-travel.suite101.com/article.cfm/teatime_in_london_is_hot_once_again)
where I’ll be writing food and travel pieces, was posted, and this “welcome” to the world of blogging for me on my website.
Yesterday was a good day for me as well: I had a great turnout for a book signing at Canio’s Book Store in Sag Harbor, NY, thanks to Maryann and Kathryn’s loyal followers. I served a few tidbits from “Tea & Crumpets” with Golden Star Sparkling White Jasmine Tea in champagne flutes (www.goldenstartea.com). People were fascinated with its taste and most agreed that it was as good, if not more interesting, than Champagne. The nonalcoholic product isn’t available nationally yet, but can be found online at www.store.goldenstartea.com. It’s a wonderful alternative or addition to tea at a tea party.
I also showed the group how to infuse vodka, gin, and rum with a fantastic tea product from Tea Forté (www.teaforte.com). the Concord, MA-based company that sells stunning tea products including Lemongrass Mint, Lavender Citrus, and Silkroad Chai cocktail infusers. Can you imagine serving a Lavender Pear Martini or a Chai White Russian at your next “cockteal” party? Stay tuned for some recipes!
